Biography
Jimmy Patronis is the Republican representative for Florida’s 1st congressional district, taking office in April 2025 after nearly two decades in state-level posts overseeing money, utilities, and elections. Before coming to Congress, he served as Florida’s chief financial officer from 2017 to 2025, sat on the Florida Public Service Commission from 2015 to 2017, and spent eight years in the Florida House representing the 6th district around Panama City. Earlier, he served on the Florida Elections Commission from 1998 to 2003.
