Mr. Speaker, I rise today to recognize someone whose name is not in the headlines, but whose impact has been felt through the Halls of Congress and across America. Mr. Speaker, today I have the distinct privilege of honoring my chief of staff, Jamie Robinette, as she retires after 25 years of extraordinary service to the United States House of Representatives. For 25 years, Jamie Robinette has been one of those professionals whose leadership, wisdom, and steady hand have helped Members of Congress serve their constituents with excellence.

Taking care of our most vulnerable citizens is what a civilized society does, and it is why Congress created TANF, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families. TANF is just that, temporary assistance for the most needy among us. Like other safety net programs, Madam Speaker, we partner with the States. It is the most efficient way to deliver care. My question for this body is, should we ever have to worry about the States using TANF dollars for any program other than TANF?
