Lucy McBath Biography
Lucy McBath, a former flight attendant and gun safety advocate, was elected to represent Georgia’s 7th Congressional District in 2022. She entered public service after the tragic loss of her son to gun violence, making firearm safety, health care access, and voting rights central pillars of her work. McBath authored the Safe Gun Storage Act and serves on the House Judiciary Committee, where she advances legislation to reduce gun violence and protect civil liberties. Through her compassionate approach and steadfast advocacy, she gives voice to families impacted by violence and works to ensure safer, more equitable communities across her district.
