Jeanne Shaheen Biography

Jeanne Shaheen began her career as a small business owner before entering public service. Elected as U.S. Senator for New Hampshire in 2008, she has prioritized expanding access to affordable healthcare, strengthening energy independence, and supporting veterans. Shaheen played a key role in authoring the Small Business Jobs Act and has served as chair of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies.
